On the top lives lord Shiva with his consort Parvati. For the Jains this is the place where spiritual guru enlightenment. For many It is a spiritual centre of Dhang Zung, the ancient BON religion. For years pilgrims walk around the mountain to cleanse themselves and attain peace. Dispite of tough terrains pilgrims cover 1000 km distances particularly harsh weather and attack .
